Lauren's Rhinebeck
When I heard about the Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival, I couldn't contain my excitement. As a devoted knitter and yarn lover, I've always dreamt of experiencing this one-of-a-kind event. Last year, my dreams came true, and I can't wait to share my incredible journey to Rhinebeck with you all.
Arriving at the GoSadi House
My adventure started even before I arrived at the GoSadi Rhinebeck House. Fellow alpha tester Jessie (@jessie_atHome) picked up myself, Jessica (@snickerdoodleKnits), and Leah (@IPlayWithFiber) from the airport and we hit the road to Rhinebeck.
The anticipation was palpable as I set foot in this cozy, welcoming space. And let me tell you, it exceeded all expectations! The house was not only fabulous but also filled with great company. I immediately felt like I was among friends, which set the tone for the amazing weekend ahead.
And let's not forget the food! The meals prepared for us were nothing short of exquisite. From hearty breakfasts to delicious dinners, the culinary experience at the GoSadi House was a treat in itself. Chef Ali knocked it out of the park every day and fueled us for our festival adventures.
The Perfect Location
The location of the GoSadi House was a highlight of the trip. Nestled amidst the beauty of Rhinebeck, and the changing leaves. The house is located right down the street from the Dutchess County fairgrounds, right in the middle of all of the weekend’s activities. Up a winding road and surrounded by nature we were treated to stunning views and an ambiance that truly captured the essence of this charming section of Upstate New York. The house's surroundings perfectly complemented the festival's spirit, making it an ideal home base for our Rhinebeck adventure.
Generous Sponsors and Festival Fun
The sponsors of the Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival truly outdid themselves this year. Their incredible generosity and wonderful gifts made this event even more special. From samples to stickers, they made sure we felt welcomed and appreciated.
On the first day of the festival, I couldn't wait to explore. I started my journey on Friday at some of the smaller festivals that lead up to Rhinebeck. It was nice to see so many familiar faces in person, some of whom for the first time.
Stitchers Night at the GoSadi House
Friday evening we headed back to the GoSadi House and recovered from the rainy day at a Stitchers Night for houseguests and friends! It was filled with laughter, games, and prizes. Bingo night was hilarious, and although I wasn’t lucky enough to win one of the fantastic prizes I still had fun laughing at the bingo cards.
Next year, I'm already planning to invite even more people to join in on the fun!
Autumn in Rhinebeck
The timing of our visit couldn't have been more perfect. Rhinebeck in the fall is gorgeous. The vibrant colors of the changing leaves and the crisp, cool air added an extra layer of enchantment to our experience. It's truly a great time to visit and immerse yourself in the magic of this picturesque town.
My Rhinebeck adventure was lovely, and the GoSadi House was the perfect place to stay during this unforgettable journey. If you're a yarn enthusiast like me who is thinking about making the trip, I highly recommend exploring the Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival.
GoSadi made this trip one for the books!
