Jessica, the knitting pattern designer behind Snickerdoodle Knits, prefers to look at designing through a deeper, more emotional lens. She believes that, as humans, we all experience the same core emotions, and she chooses to design patterns that address these emotions to tell “the relatable stories of living.” After connecting with many folks who felt alone and misunderstood, she realized that the very aspects that make us feel like outcasts can be the aspects that bring us together, because there are others that understand. Her mission is to help folks feel supported, inspired, and empowered; whether that be through her designs, in her work as a mentor for designers via the Pattern Design Circle, or in her personal life.
