Last night marked a milestone for gosadi as, 2 years from the day that our co-founders decided to build this platform,  we proudly welcomed the esteemed teachers and lecturers of 

! 2024 and kicked off a weekend filled with yarn and creativity. It was an evening of connection, inspiration, and celebration as we had the honor of hosting community leaders, makers, and designers whom we deeply admire and sharing about what we have built.

In a room full of camaraderie, cupcakes, and wine, Michele Costa our co-founder and the designer behind 

 shared the journey of gosadi that led to this 

The evening reminded us of the joy of the community and the driving force behind gosadi, creating a better process and avenues for more success.. For co-founders Michele and Hilary (lys owner behind 

), the night was not just about showcasing gosadi's vision but also about embracing the vibrant community that is propelling gosadi to greater heights.

As conversations flowed and laughter filled the air, it became evident that this gathering was more than just an event—it was a testament to the passion and dedication driving the stitching community forward and the response to gosadi was overwhelming. We also had a chance to chat with instructors and designers to hear what features they would like to see and how gosadi can grow to serve them in the future.

Perhaps the most exciting part of all was seeing our 

 immerse herself in this new community and learn about why we are so special. This was NaKeisha’s first fiber event and seeing her form these connections and exchange ideas was a joy.

From sharing stories to exchanging ideas, each interaction fueled our commitment to fostering creativity and connection within the knitting world.

We kicked off h+h americas 2024 with the FIRST-EVER Content Creator Summit created in partnership between h+h americas and gosadi. The day was a whirlwind full of inspiration, education, and networking, that left both creators & brands ready to hit the show floor running. 

From educational presentations to insightful panel discussions with industry leaders, and even a new Brand Mixer speed dating event, the summit offered a comprehensive exploration of the ever-evolving landscape of the creator/brand relationship within the stitching and crafting community.

Hey, gosadi community! NaKeisha Barry, your Product Manager here on the gosadi grapevine!

This past January, as part of team gosadi, I had the incredible opportunity to join the team in New York City for Vogue Knitting LIVE! Let me say it clearly: VKL 2024 was a game-changer for me!  Here I was, the Product Manager for gosadi, a newbie to any and all things knit and crochet, trying to find my footing in a community I admired yet hadn’t yet fully stepped into - and so step in is what I did.

NaKeisha Takes on Vogue Knitting Live!

As we were getting ready to launch our Early Access Program and onboard new users, team gosadi recently traveled from various points across the country to the heart of New York City for Vogue Knitting LIVE! We were eager to make our mark on Vogue Knitting Live (VKL) and announce our platform arrival to the fiber community and let us tell you…the trip did not disappoint. 

Though some of our team members have been to VKL in years past and loved it, this was our first trip as a group to VKL, and we were determined to make it an unforgettable experience for our team and also for the VKL community. We were focused on sharing what gosadi is all about: built by makes FOR makers.

One of the highlights of our trip was the creation of the 

 of patterns from the gosadi community of designers. Both setups were a labor of love, with all hands on deck to bring the yarn grotto and designer showcase to life. 

We paid attention to every detail - which pieces from designers were paired with other pieces to best show off their work. Placement of designs and mannequins. No detail was left unattended.

We spent the month leading up to VKL collecting samples of designs from gosadi designers and wanted to be sure that everything was ready for the big show. Set-ups of both began early in the week of the event - and thankfully our team member Abbey is an accomplished wardrobe stylist on Broadway so that gave us an edge on dressing and prepping the display. Fortunately, with so many hands involved everything went up without a hitch and we were ready to dive into the week’s events.

Abbey here to share my gosadi Rhinebeck experience with you all. To be transparent, I found it difficult to write about working because no one wants to read about e-mails, heating up breakfast & waiting for the grocery store to open in the morning so I can buy cream cheese. But I gave it a shot!

In all my years of knitting, crocheting, and owning my own yarn shop, I had never made it to the New York Sheep & Wool Festival (often referred to in our industry simply as “Rhinebeck”) before. It sounded to me like a magical far-away place that I aspired to visit one day. As a co-founder of gosadi, that day came sooner than I expected, and suddenly, there I was at this amazing fall festival this year!

In anticipation of finally attending my first Rhinebeck, I held a Rhinebeck Sweater KAL at 

 in the weeks leading up to the festival. I not only needed to motivate myself to get mine done, but I loved inspiring others to make their special sweater, whether they were planning to attend or not. It worked out perfectly, and aside from 

 a few unwoven ends, my sweater was ready to debut at its first fiber festival.
