Natalie’s introduction to crochet was practical—a family friend taught her to keep a restless Detroit kid off the drapes. It worked better than anyone expected. She crocheted sporadically throughout the years until a Secret Santa gift changed everything: unable to find the perfect hat and scarf set anywhere in stores, she bought the supplies and made it herself. That moment reignited her passion.
Under her brand Detroit Knots, Natalie has been designing since 2016 and teaching since 2020—building a reputation for work that is high-impact yet deeply approachable. Driven by a passion for elevating crochet design in her community, her credits speak for themselves: Vogue Knitting Live NYC, and a Tunisian Crochet masterclass for Knit Stars. She believes the only limits in this craft are the ones you place on yourself—and her work proves it.
Natalie and Michele connected in 2016 when Natalie tested one of Michele’s crochet patterns. They became fast friends, and when GoSadi launched, Natalie was one of its first alpha testers. Now, as Designer Liaison and Events Coordinator, she’s exactly where she belongs—the beating heart between GoSadi and its designer community.
