gosadi's "Chicago Week"

Over the past week, gosadi kicked off an exciting journey in the Windy City, affectionately dubbed "Chicago Week." It was an immersive experience filled with meaningful connections, deep discussions, and a celebration of creativity and community.

The week began with a team dinner, where members of the gosadi team had the opportunity to meet face-to-face (many of us for the first time). As a company that predominantly operates remotely, this yearly gathering was a chance to strengthen our bonds as a team.

gosadi early access feedback

Following the team dinner, gosadi dove into a series of focus groups with early-access users, hosted at co-founder Hilary Cerbin's Local Yarn Shop, Nina Chicago. These sessions provided a space for users to share candid feedback directly with the gosadi product team. The insights gained from these discussions offered invaluable perspectives on how our users engage with the platform.

One standout revelation came from alpha tester Beth Henderson, who highlighted the significant increase in sales attributed to utilizing gosadi SMARTS for A/B Etsy testing on titles—a testament to the platform's efficacy in driving tangible results for users.

However, alongside the praise, came crucial feedback, which we embraced wholeheartedly. Recognizing the importance of continuous improvement, the team welcomed the opportunity to address areas for enhancement, with the ultimate aim of refining the platform to better serve our users. We’re proud to say that this platform is made by this community, for this community.

stitch up chicago 2024

As the week progressed, gosadi seamlessly transitioned into its sponsorship role at Stitch Up Chicago—an event that holds special significance for co-founder Michele. For Michele, this event represents the convergence of two passions: her dedication to the maker community and her new baby, gosadi.

From humble beginnings, where a simple invitation to stitch at a local coffee shop Peete’s by the Bean, blossomed into a gathering of over 100 makers, Stitch Up Chicago has become a cherished yearly event for fostering creativity, connection, and collaboration.

This year, Michele’s worlds came together as gosadi proudly stood as a sponsor of Stitch Up Chicago, embodying its commitment to supporting and empowering the vibrant maker community and creating opportunities for designers to connect with makers.

gosadi designer showcase

To kick things off on Saturday, at the Beatrix downtown, gosadi hosted the first-ever gosadi Designer Showcase at Stitch Up this year. gosadi designers from all over the US and Canada flew in to share a little about their design process and creations with the makers visiting the event. Each designer brought along a few of their designs and had the opportunity to connect directly with Stitch Up’s community of eager makers. The goal of the Designer Showcase was to help our designers grow their community.

We believe that when designers win, we win!

We look forward to continuing to engage with makers, forging new relationships, and reaffirming our mission to provide solutions that fit the needs of all creatives.

Reflecting on the whirlwind that encapsulated "Chicago Week," it's evident that the experience served as a catalyst for growth and renewed inspiration. From meaningful interactions with team members and users to the joyous celebration of creativity at Stitch Up Chicago, gosadi's journey in Chicago exemplifies the power of connection, community, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

As our team and crew of designers return to their respective corners of the world, the memories and lessons from Chicago will continue to fuel gosadi's mission to empower creatives worldwide.

This is only the beginning and we can’t wait for Chicago Week 2025!
