The Fourth will be here before you know it. Get a patriotic jump by picking up those needles and emulating Betsy Ross. This flag bag is accurate, with thirteen stripes (the red is stockinette; the white, reverse stockinette) and fifty embroidered stars on a seed-stitch field.

2 skeins in #CW70 columbine blossom (blue A)
1 skein in #CW201 barn red (B)
1 skein in #CW100 cotton ball (white C)
One pair size 5 (3.75mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
One pair size 7 (4.5mm) needles
yd/m cotton fabric for lining
Sewing needle and matching thread
2yd/2m of 1"/4cm cotton webbing for handles

GAUGES
17 sts and 32 rows to 4"/10cm over seed st using larger needles and 2 strands of yarn held tog.
