This pattern makes a ruched tube that can be worn as a convertible hat with an opening for hair. It can easily be customized to any length and made with any yarn. Longer tubes can be tucked into the back to be worn as a hat, left long to protect curls or braids, and also makes a great neckwarmer.
Yarn: any (shown in Lion Brand Ferris Wheel)
Yardage: One Ferris Wheel (270 yards, 247 meters) makes two 10" hats. This is a great project for that one special ball of something, and also for leftover yarn.
Hook: size to match your yarn in the gauge you like (loose or tight is your preference.)
I used an H hook (5 mm) with Ferris Wheel.
