This striped cap, knit flat and seamed up the back, sports a fiberfill-stuffed tail. The garter-stitch scarf starts with a masked face shaped by increases and ends with its own adorable striped tail.

MATERIALS

1 skein each in Merino by Frog Tree Yarns, 1oz/ 50g skeins, each approx 137yd/125m (merino wool) in #7 brown (A) and #100 black (B)

One pair each size 5(3.75mm) and 7(4.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Polyester stuffing, black thread and embroidery needle

Sized for child.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Circumference 18"/45.5cm

GAUGE

20 sts and 28 rows to 4"/10cm over St st using larger needles.
