The scarf, with motifs appropriate any child, is edged at the sides with garter stitch. It begins and ends in a twisted rib that is buffered by several rows of reverse stockinette.

One pair each size 6 and 7 (4mm and 4.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

GAUGE
24 sts and 27 rows = 4"/10cm over Fair Isle Pattern using size 6 (4mm) needles for single color rows and size 7 (4.5mm) needles for two color rows.
