Cosy For Ewe is a DK weight colour work cowl, a fun cosy knit with sheep on it, I must confess of my secret love of sheep.
You can knit it in 2 contrasting colours or maybe have fun and try it with a main colour and variegated yarn or even mini skeins !! I have suggested my favourite yarns and the sample was knitted in Stylecraft Special DK in MC Wild Orchid CC Purple Smoke (Size 1 - MC 132m/45g CC 74m/25g)

The chart is made up of 57 rounds to make a fun pattern, I have also added the chart elements individually so you can mix and match as you want to have fun and create a unique cowl just for you. Each chart has a 14 stitch repeat and you can put them in any order you want or use only one or two. Let your imagintion have fun.
The full height cowl is made up with 1 each of the sheep and poinsettia charts with 3 of the rectangle pattern charts. You can also make a short height cowl using 2 of the rectangle pattern charts with either the sheep or poinsettia chart in the middle.

NOTES
Spring Leaf Socks are toe-up socks worked in stockinette stitch on the sole and back of the leg. This allows for extra stitches to be added if a wider leg is required (see note below). A lace leaf design starts at the top of the foot and continues up the front of the leg.
The front of the sock is worked on needle 1 and the back of the sock is worked on needle 2.
The heel is worked using short rows.
For a wider leg, when you complete the heel and return to working the round for the leg on the stockinette stitch section, you can add stitches to allow for the leg width to be increased. I recommend adding 4 stitches evenly every second round until desired width is achieved.

This cowl is worked in the round starting with a provisional cast-on, forming a long tube. Once desired length is reached, the two ends are grafted together to form the long cowl.

Nightsea socks are knitted in the wonderful Easyknits Deeply Wicked 4ply in Electric Boogaloo colourway, superwash merino. These are toe up socks & I have used the German Short Row heel method, no more wrap & turn sts. You can substitute your favourite heel method if you wish.

The pattern is both written & charted.

Sizes :- small / medium ,(large / extra large), 17.5 - 21.25cm, (22.5 - 27.5)cm , 7 - 8.5, (9 - 11)in.

2.5mm circular needles, 80-100cms cable length for magic loop, you can also use 2.5mm double pointed needles if preferred.
Tapestry needle, stitch markers if required.

Stitches - K - knit, p - purl, kfb - increase by knitting into front & back,
k2tog - knit 2 together, ssk - slip slip knit, yo - yarn over, rnd(s) - round(s), sts - stitches, mds - make double stitch, ds - double stitch, rpt(s) - repeat(s), ws - wrong side, rs - right side.
