I am a big fan of the weird and wonderful movie monsters of the 50's and 60's, and Godzilla is no doubt the king of these spectacular creatures. This tiny giant stands about four inches tall and is a lot more squishy than his silver screen counterpart. These little monsters knit up quick, and make hilarious wee gifts for the monster lover in your life. Godzilla uses up scraps, so get digging in your stash!

A sweet friend of my kid’s loves Godzilla and is quite an expert on the character design through out the years. This little plush got their seal of approval! A high honor indeed.

This spring, we put a little pond in behind our house. Ponds are kind of a build it and they will come thing, because frogs just showed up! We have a few regulars but my favorite it the one-eyed frog I named "Odin." To me, it looks like he was hatched with one eye, and I think he's pretty mystical. I designed this tiny frog pattern as an ode to Odin. I make all mine with only one right eye, but you can make yours with however many eyes your heart desires.These froggies knit up fast! Possums are a fact of life on my farm. These stinkers like to steal the eggs our chickens lay! But not this tiny possum: she could fit inside an egg! Possums are the only marsupial found north of Mexico in North America, and that’s pretty neat! This pattern takes a tiny amount of yarn and works up fast. The legs are fiddly, but worth it for the cuteness of your finished possum! If you want fewer ends to weave you could leave off the pink feet, but I felt like it really elevated the possum vibes. I typically make a 64 st CO sock for myself, but with the colorwork these get snug. I made the 72 st CO and they fit great!
  
I would advise going up a sock size for the best fit option. You can also switch to a US 2 needle for the colorwork section, though I think this makes the colorwork look less crisp. That's a personal opinion, so don't let it keep you from trying that method.
  
The rows are numbered for socks that are made cuff-down. Most of the berry motifs will be pointing "down" when you are done with the two biggest leaves pointing "up." These charts will work great if you want to add them to your favorite sock pattern, just make sure the flip the chart if you do toe up instead.

No gauge is given for this project, and also no yardages. This cowl is scaleable to the size you want, with basic guidelines for pattern repeats. When knitting with a worsted yarn, a US 9 needle will yield a squishy but defined cowl. The thicker the yarn selected (aran, bulky, etc) the more dense the finished cowl will be. If using a thick yarn and wishing to achieve a more squishy, less stiff cowl, go up a few needle sizes.

This tiny backpack is perfect for quick adventures to the berry patch, or wherever the season takes you. It's quick to work up, and seeing the rows of berries appear is a delight! I hope you enjoy making it as much as I enjoyed designing it.

About 400 total yards of worsted weight yarn in a background color (I used pink, 270 yds), red (50 yds), and green (80 yds)

Size G/ 4.25 mm Hook

Long needle for sewing in ends 
1 small button

HDC: Half Double Crochet
Slst: Slip Stitch
Ch: Chain stitch
Inc: Increase (make two stitches in the same stitch)

4 DC Dec: 4 Double Crochet Decrease (Special photo instructions in the pattern)

A note about yarns:
I used three colors of cotton worsted weight yarn to crochet my sample for this pattern, for a total approximate yardage of 400 yds. If you want to do stripes in the background color, you absolutely can! Just make sure the colors are different from your berry colors, so the strawberry motif shows through.

If you want to do stripes and make sure you have enough of each color, divide 155 yds by the number of colors you have, that will tell you approximately how many yards of each color you will need!
