The great thing about this fun and funky earrings is that you can make them with any size yarn and hook. They work up quickly and are perfect for market makes or gifts. 

Materials
• Up to 10 yards of any scrap yarn
• 2.0mm -3.0mm hook, depending on yarn
• Needle for weaving in ends
• 2 ½” square of cardboard
• Small-toothed comb
• 2 fish hook ear-wires
• Flat-nosed jewelry pliers

Pattern Notes
• All directions are written in US Crochet Terms.
• Gauge is not essential for this project, but tight stitches will result in an earring that holds its shape better.
• Any fiber may be used but you may want to check how the plies separate by giving them a “comb” first.
• This pattern can be worked in any size crochet yarn and appropriate hook. Experiment with different size yarn and hooks to achieve smaller or larger earrings.

The Breaker Beanie is my contribution to the [2023 Crochet Cancer Challenge][1], hosted by Christine Naugle of Sweet Potato 3. To see all my Crochet Cancer Challenge contributions, click [HERE][2].

The Breaker Beanie works up flat, sideways, with 2 different stitch patterns: a half double crochet folded brim, and the trinity stitch, on the bias, for the body of the hat. Then the hat is seamed and the top cinched closed. Easy as that, you’ll have a hat to pass on to a loved one or to donate! 

This hat is rated Easy. With knowledge of hdc, sc, working stitches together, and skipping stitches, you'll be able to create your own Breaker Beanie!

This hat comes in ONE SIZE. Information is given in the NOTES on how to create a smaller or larger beanie. I used 230 yards of a thicker DK weight yarn. 

The beanie has a folded brim. It can also be worn without folding as a slouchy beanie.

The Ventanitas Top is a quick and easy sideways work up. You’ll love how quickly this piece comes together and how versatile it is in your wardrobe. Wear it over a blouse, a dress, a tank, a tshirt, long-sleeves, short-sleeves, no sleeves…you really can’t go wrong. This top pairs well with so many things. It’s a spring design, but you can really wear it year-round!
  
The original was designed to be made with 3 coordinating colors, but you can make this with 2 or even 1 color scheme. The surface slip stitches really give it a touch of WOW, so don’t forget to add at least a contrasting yarn for that!
