He’s 100 percent it.” Once actors Patterson and Lauren Graham began working together on set, their on-screen partnership was undeniable. Graham remembers, “It didn’t seem like, ‘Oh this is the definite love interest. . . .’ It’s just this funny, weird chemistry that we had in terms of being complete opposites and also this built-in conflict of he has the thing she wants—which is coffee. . . . It was just something about the two of those characters together that they kept going back to and then it kept growing.” Viewers don’t learn until Season 5 how the two met—Lorelai was looking for coffee and gave Luke a horoscope that he kept in his wallet for 8 years—and they don’t kiss until the Season 4 finale. **Notes**: The drop sleeve pullover is worked back and forth in pieces from the bottom up. The sleeves are worked back and forth from the cuff up. Body and sleeves are seamed together. Collar is picked up and knit in the round. Cable motif starts centred on the body, then moves outward to the sleeves. The cable motif charts will overlap each other. Sleeves have shaping increases at the same time as the cable motifs.


Birefringence took on a life of its own after encountering a high fashion sweater. And, after combining with Rowan Felted Tweed Colour, it became a 1960s mod inspired sweater. The term, birefringence, refers to an object’s refractive qualities: like crystals. The body and sleeves are knit sideways to ensure easy color changes. Rowan Norwegian Wool in Peat highlights the contrasts in the body. Collar is shaped using short rows once picked up. Cuffs and waist ribbing are picked up and knit.  
Designed to be worn with 4-6 / 10-15 cm ease at chest. Model rocks the Size 4 with 6 ease. 

Overall Construction: Front and back are knit side by side as one long row. Knit left to right across body with faux seam stitch at shoulder for stability. Sleeves knit bottom up and seamed on.  Body is seamed.  Ribbing is picked up. Collar is shaped with short rows.

The Stellar Sailor was an idea ruminating before coming forth in 2020 and created in 2021. Combining the adventurous nature of the classic turn-of-the-century fisherman sweater with space, the final frontier, the Stellar Sailor is born. The asymmetrical cable panel harken to craters with vertical ropes framing either side. A drawstring waist references drawstring necklines from original fisherman sweaters. An oversized, dropped sleeve body pulls this sweater into the modern era. Each size relies on a cable motif on the edge to add or diminish the size.
